In 2002 Stuart and I bought Trewartha Chapel, our home is in the old Sunday School part of the building. We'd previously lived on the north coast of Cornwall so we knew about wild winds.
We set about creating a garden on one of the highest points on the Roseland peninsula in the presence of an unforgiving south westerly wind. I had spent a very valuable two years on day release at Duchy College studying for an RHS general certificate in horticulture. I already had a sound gardening background but had a desire to know why we do some things rather than how.
Gardening had always been a hobby for both of us so we set up a couple of tunnels for growing and began to cultivate and propagate plants that were a little more unusual as well as those that are more common to Cornwall.
So here we are today with a garden and garden nursery that is becoming established whilst constantly evolving.
